BRCC hosts green forum

Blue Ridge Community College’s Division of Workforce Services and Continuing Education is hosting a symposium on green agriculture and sustainability concepts called “Growing Green in the Valley” on Thursday, May 19, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Plecker Workforce Center.

The one-day symposium focuses on making the most of agricultural and agri-tourism enterprises, while emphasizing the market appeal of environmentally-friendly practices.

“This year’s focus is green agriculture and agri-tourism,” said Dave Wiggins, BRCC Workforce Services Program manager. “We hope to make this an annual event that can promote and enhance green business, industry and agriculture in the Valley.”
